Dear Septa Families and Members,
We are writing to inform you that throughout this time, we as an executive board have been working tirelessly to ensure that our differently abled children are being prioritized during these unprecedented times. Since the beginning, we have had multiple calls with Dr. Feijoo, Dr. Bongo, Ms. Joseph and other administrators to express our devastation and real concerns with decisions being made that are not benefiting our children in any way. Virtual learning is not ideal for any child, especially for differently abled children.
Today, we had a call with Dr. Marrero and Dr. Bongo in regards to the reentry plan changing for our children. Rest assured they are both aware of the concerns and have stated they will continue to work on prioritizing our children to re-enter safely ahead of the general student population. It was mentioned that transportation continues to be a major obstacle with the re-entry plan. We will continue to collaborate, have open conversations with Administration and we will provide updates as we receive them.
